We offer the following Title I programs:
Title I "Jumpstart" Summer School Program
This program provides instruction emphasizing social and emotional development and mindfulness, through activities such as morning meetings and mindful moments. The students receive cross-curricular instruction in reading, math, science and social studies; as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills through our Project Based Learning lessons that help to develop their 21st century skills. Students are also engaged in S.T.E.M. and other science related activities students where they are encouraged to think objectively, make observations, collect data through research, analyze information, and investigate problems to find their solution. In addition, students' also receive intensive hands on remediation in the core foundational areas of math and reading to support their academic success during the school year.
Title I "Kindergarten JumpStart" Program
This four-day summer program is a pre-kindergarten transitional program designed to help incoming kindergarten students feel confident and ready for success in school. Students have a chance to get familiar with our school and their classroom as well as get to know their classmates and teacher before school officially starts. Children will be involved in typical kindergarten classroom activities, tour the school and experience outdoor play just like they will at recess. This fun, positive experience helps our kindergarten students become familiar with school before school begins. It supports students and families for a positive transition into kindergarten.
Mindful Mornings Program
A program designed for students in grades K-4 to help them focus their attention on their work, develop resiliency amidst setbacks, and work effectively with other students and adults.
The Leader in YOU- Choice Matters
This program provides fourth grade students with opportunities to work on their social emotional learning through a leadership lens. Students are allowed to choose between art, music, gym or outdoor play where they engage in school lunch activities that enhance their social-emotional well-being.
Title I "After-school Matters" Program
This program provides instruction and activities that enhance the social and emotional development of our scholars. They also engage in a wide range of mindfulness activities. In addition, they receive an hour of intensive hands on remediation in the core foundational areas of math and reading to support their academic success during the school day.
Title I "Scholastic Saturdays" Program
This program provides instruction emphasizing social and emotional development and mindfulness, through activities such as morning meetings and mindful moments. The students receive cross-curricular learning in reading, math, science and social studies, as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills through our Project Based Learning lessons that help to develop their 21st century skills. Students are also engaged in S.T.E.M. and other science related activities where they are encouraged to think objectively, make observations, collect data through research, analyze information, and investigate problems to find their solution.
